sneaky purchases.

On a little trip out to town to root around for a suitable prom bag (which, of course, I didn't even end up getting!) I accidentally on purpose spent money that I just don't have to spend! June has been an absolutely crazy month, with about a trillion birthday presents and parties to pay for, not to mention Prom, and my bank account has been seriously suffering! I managed to justify a few purchases in town, although my conscience is suffering a little now...

White Floppy Hat - Primark - £4
I loveeee the floppy hat trend for summer and this one was just so cute with the tiny holes, although there was a straw tie around the hat which I swiftly snipped off for fear of looking a little too scarecrow-esque!

Beaded Headbands - Primark - £2
These are so bright and colourful for summer, and perfect to wear with soft, floaty, wavy hair!

Turquoise Ring - Primark - £2.50
I could not believe how beautiful this ring was, especially for Primark standards!

Maybelline Gel Liner - Superdrug - £5.99
This could quite possibly be my new favourite liner, it beats my ELF Cream Liner by miles!

Cream Sheer Blouse - Primark - £8
I adore this type of top however upon closer inspection I accidentally picked it up in a size 18, whoops!

Orange Vest Top - Primark - £4
I love love love this for summer and tucking into shorts or bright skirts!

Floral Playsuit - H&M - £7.99
It seems that the only playsuits that ever fit me are found in H&M so I couldn't resist this little bargain!

my weekend.

I've seen so many of these type of 'life' posts on so many other blogs (namely the lovely Laura's) so as I adore reading them I thought I'd have a go myself. Let me know if you would like to see more of these slightly more personal posts!

On Saturday I met up with an old friend for a jolly little shopping trip into town, and despite having no money I still managed to pick up some cheap goodies while having an amazing time with my friend. Its so lovely meeting up with people you haven't seen in months, but falling right back into being comfortable with each other straight away!

I picked up this gorgeous Aztec style jewellery from Primark which I could not wait to wear when the sun pops its head out again.

Snake Ring £2
Turquoise Bracelet £1.50
Necklace £2.50

While having a little snoop around Superdrug I just could not resist the 2 for £6 deal on Sleek Lipsticks. I picked up O.M.G (left) and Peaches&Cream (right) for the bargainous price and I could not be happier. They are the perfect bright, beautiful colours for Spring/Summer and have a lovely creamy consistency - win!

I also popped into LUSH, not intending to buy anything, but the lovely shop assistant gave me a free sample of Oatifix face mask, which is apparently good for dry skin. Previously I had not known they gave such generous samples- could that shop get any better!?

Here's a extremely attractive picture of me with Oatifix slathered all over my face. Although this looks reminiscent of if I had vomited all over my face, my skin actually felt lovely when this was washed off, so a possible future purchase for me!

On Sunday I visited my Aunt's house to celebrate Easter Sunday in style... with my crazy family. It was so pretty and sunny out I decided to crack out my new playsuit from H&M, which I love however has to be returned as it has a rip in the back! Sob, sob.

Chocolate! NOMNOMNOMNOMMMMM!

Hope you'll had an amazing Easter weekend!

LUSH!

Finally!
Finally!
Finally!

Finally, I have a Lush haul for you, my lovelies!

On a recent trip into town, me and my friend decided to venture into my much lusted after shop, Lush!

Some of you may know that recently I have become obsessed with checking out all of the Lush products and finding the perfect purchase for my very first Lush order. However, actually shopping in store is a lot different to lusting after products online, as everything smells so amazing!

One of the products that I thought it was a dead cert that I'd be picking up was the much raved about Snow Fairy Shower Gel, however after going and having a good sniff, I just could not summon up any enthusiasm for which was, in my opinion, an overly sweet and overrated scent, which was just not for me.

So, after the Snow Fairy disappointment, I was eager to look for other gorgeous smelling, soapy, bubbly balls of goodness. I have to add that the girls who helped me in Lush were absolutely lovely, and so sweet in helping a 'Lush Virgin' like me! I was so pleased to be treated in such a nice way in my first ever visit and they just made me want to go back to Lush over and over again!

So now what did I actually buy in Lush?

The Comforter Bubble Bar
This smells A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!
The fragrant scent of this fills up my room and leaves my draws smelling good enough to eat.
Although I'm not really a bath sort of person I couldn't resist this, and upon using it last Sunday I was over the moon at the gorgeous smelling, bubbly pink bath it created!

 Cinders Bath Ballistic
I thought that this bath bomb would be perfect for use on fireworks night, with its smokey, cinnamon fragrance. I did in fact use it on Bonfire Night, and I loved watching the little surprises in this, however, I just can't get used to baths without bubbles, it just doesn't seem right to me!

Lip Dip
Nom Nom NOM NOM!!
This sherbet, cranberry and lemon flavour lip scrub tastes divine.
I know, I know, lip scrubs are not for eating, but I make an exception for this! Its also pretty good at being a real lip scrub, however for me the main feature of this is the taste, yum yummm!

♥ ♥ ♥

After my Total Lush Virgin post about the Lush products that I really wanted to try, in which I featured Lush Fresh Farmacy, the lovely Sabre Rose offered to send me her piece of unused Fresh Farmacy, what a sweetie :)

Fresh Farmacy
This pretty pink slab claims to be the perfect cleanser for helping get rid of spots. I've only been using it a week, so I cannot comment on its spot healing properties, however I can say it smells lovely!

Porridge Soap
The lovely girl also sent me a piece of this soap which has little porridge oats in it which exfoliates your skin, leaving you feeling soft and smooth.

This was the first of, hopefully, many more future Lush hauls!

Please excuse my stupid, non-focusing camera!

Has anyone got any recommendations for more Lush products to try? :)

Shops Are Dangerous...

...for my bank balance.

This Saturday I popped into town for a day out with an old friend for a quick skip around the shops, which of course turned into a rather long day out...

As aways, I spent way too much, buy hey, its nearly Christmas, so time to start treating myself! ;)

Pull & Bear
£7.99
I adore this baggy t-shirt as it reminds me of Christmas and is perfect for wearing over leggings.

Topshop
£7.99
A complete bargain find in the sale (woo whoo!), I adore this khaki green top!

Primark
£4.00
A stretchy purple skirt. Perfect for winter? ...Umm, I think not, but hey, who doesn't need a new skirt! ;)

Primark
£11
Thought it was time to add at least add one wintry piece to my wardrobe, and I think  this gorgeous heart cut out cardie does the trick!

Superdrug
Tresemme Salon Finish Hairspray
£3.89
I decided it was time to get my own Tresemme hairspray, rather than nicking my poor mummies every time I need some hold. I love this one, so easy to use and holds perfectly, with no crunchy-ness.

Pound Shop
Rimmel Eyeshadows in Bronzed and Glam Rock and Revlon Eyeshadow in Charcoal
£1
I will never stop being amazed at the bargainous makeup you can find in the Pound Shop. These are beautiful colours and extremely pigmented, and for just 99 pennies each I think I can afford as many as I want :)

Superdrug
Simple Rich Moisturisor
£3.29
Now the winter coldness is drawing in, I'm in serious need of replenishing the decreasing levels of moisture in my skin, and I'm hoping this is the answer to my problems!

Boots
Cocoa Butter Vaseline
£1.49
Eeekk, I'm so happy to have picked this gorgeous smelling tin of goodness up! Perfect chocolaty smell to slather all over my parched lips!

Boots
Natural Collection Lipgloss in Fondant and Lipstick in Lotus
£1.99 each
For just 2 quid, I always find the Natural Collection range to be surprisingly good and I wasn't disappointed with these two, the lipgloss is such a beautiful colour and no stickiness in sight (or feel?)

No 7 Eyeshadow in Truffle
£7.50
With my £5 off voucher, this little beauty was just £2.50, oh thank you Mr Boots who created these amazing vouchers!! :)

Revlon Grow Luscious Mascara
£7.99
I admit, I'm becoming a bit of a mascara fiend. I did not need this, but I had the strongest pull to buy either this or L'oreal voluminous. I really wish I had a time machine and could go back to get the latter. This mascaras just a bit... blah. Nothing special. Damn you stupid advertising campaigns telling me that this will make my lashes grow and enticing me to buy! :|

Superdrug
Sleek Bad Girl Palette
£5.99
As a huge Sleek palette fan, I was over the moon when I heard they had come out with two brand spanking new palettes. Not particularly keen on the pink shades of the Good Girl palette, I went for the smokier, sexier Bad Girl palette... not because I'm a bad girl or anything ;) Of course, like all of their palettes these eyeshadows are exceptional for their price and with beautiful pigmentation these little beauties can create a whole number of looks, and all just for £5.99!

Coming up in the next post...
My Very First Lush Haul!!
FINALLY!!

Oh Dear, Another Haul...

Oh yes girlie's, its another haul!
Sorry for the lack of 'proper' posts recently, its seems all my spare time is spent shopping and taking on my ever growing pile of homework rather than blogging, whoops!
Promise promise promise there will actually be some good posts up soon...

Anywhooo...

Last Sunday I went to town determined to find the perfect winter staple pieces that would last throughout the whole of the cold season. And what did I come back with you ask? A truck load of makeup and summer clothes.

Oooops.

I know, I know, I'm a bad shopper! I spend all my money in Superdrug and then while out clothes shopping I panic buy on things I don't really need. But hey ho, what can you do?! Here are my goodies the I picked up...

After all your fabulous advice on the comments of my Seriously In Need Of A Little Hair Therapy post where I asked for advice on my flat, dull boring hair, I was determined to go out and pick up a few things to get my hair from hideous to hair-mazing! And after a few minutes browsing the shelves of the lovely Superdrug, I picked up these lovelies, Tresemme Reconstructing Deep Conditioning Treatment Mask, from the (bargainous) £2.50, and Tresemme Heat Defence Spray, £2.50. And I have to say, what a treat my hair got that night! The conditioning mask really is an amazing product, leaving my hair shiny in just 10 minutes, and so soft I spent the following day stroking it and forcing my friends to feel just how amazing my hair felt. And as for the the heat defence spray, lets just say there will be no more heat damage for my hair, horahh!!

Now, naughty Superdrug had a 3 for 2 deal on all Barry M products, and hey, who can ignore a great deal, ehh?! Of course I had to pick my much lusted after Nail Paints in Berry Ice Cream (No. 308) and Navy (No. 292) and I must say, they really are beautiful. I'm a bit late to jump on the lilac nails bandwagon, but its a lovely, pale purple, great with a tan, and the navy has amazing iridescent blue particles which looks stunning on the nails!

Now for the cheapies in my little haul!
I was over the moon when on my little trip into Superdrug I discovered my local had finally got MUA products, and, not one to ignore new makeup, I bought Shade 17 of the eyeshadow, for the tiny price of £1. Speaking of things for £1, upon popping into the Pound Shop, I discovered this little bargain, Loreal Paris Shadow Minerals in Gold. Ohh I do love the pound shop, this colour is a stunning iridescent true gold and what an amazing find in the pound shop!?

To make up the 3 in my 3 for 2 deal on Barry M products I picked up this gorgeous lip gloss in Coral (No. 11) after becoming obsessed with the Toffee lip gloss, which as the name suggests smells amazing! This is no different, and smells like sweets, and what a beautiful colour!
I also picked up the essential Vaseline, and while browsing the makeup, as usual, I found something I've wanted for, well, forever. Me Me Me Beat The Blues Highlighter in Sunbeam, for just £4.50 was added to my rather large shopping basket. And boy oh boy am I glad. This highlighter really is lovely, adding such a beautiful sun ray highlight, which will look perfect in summer next year. (Who cares if I'm a bit early? ;)

And finally on my little Superdrug-spree, I picked up these Self Grip Velcro Bedtime Rollers for £3.50. Now, these I'm not too sure about as the first time I tried these I succeeded in getting them stuck in my hair, and rather than creating beautiful tumbling curls, I got messy birds nest hair instead, not a good look, let me tell you. So my question is, has anyone tried Velcro rollers and if so how do you use them?

Another couple of staple items were picked up were leggings (H&M, £7.99) and spotty tights (Primark £2). I'm seriously in need of some decent leggings after a few horrific accidents with the devilish Primark leggings, where they decided to split while I was out- cringe!!

These gorgeous little booties were a steal from Primark for just £15, woo whooo! Perfect for winter and just about perfect for everything else too...

I picked up this simple but gorgeous baggy t-shirt in Primark for just £4. The detailing is edgy and this is the perfect t-shirt for lazy days over leggings.

For just £11, this adorable little heart jumper was another bargain buy from Primark. I bought it two sizes too big so it would be slouchy and comfortable for those cold days, but still pretty with its cute heart design.

And another Pimark bargain, at £4, this little vest top with flower embellishment is so pretty and feminine, so who cares if its more summer than winter!

And finally, the last cheapie of the day was this pretty summer dress from New Look, for just £7 in the sale. Its a beautiful khaki colour and the detailing is just lovely.

Sorry for the ridiculously long haul cupcakes, I confess I have a slight shopping problem! Well done if you got this far...

Toodles...

Long Outstanding & Holiday Haulage...

Here's a few little bits and pieces I have picked up in the last month or so... and a couple that have travelled all the way from Lanzarote!

Ohh Primark, I do love you!
These couple of necklaces were a complete bargain at £2 each, and so damn adorable!
The first one is a thin chain with a bird cage sitting at the end, check out the little tweety-bird hiding inside, I nearly melted with the cuteness!
The second is a small gold bag, which is ridiculously cool as it actually opens! I nearly had a heart attack in the store when I discovered this, me thinking I'd broken it, as accidents seem to just surround me! However, I was pleasantly surprised that it did actually open, how amazing is that? Think of the things you could store inside and carry around your neck...

Of course when on a little trip to boots, I just couldn't come out empty handed. While picking up goodies to give to my best friend for her birthday, I picked up this beautiful 17 Eyeshadow in Mardi Grass. Its a gorgeous gold/bronze with shimmer and applies beautifully
OK, I admit it, this was meant for my lovely friend, but I bought her something else inste.ad as I loved it so much, shhhh ;)

Finally FINALLY, I got my hands on this little beauty! I've been looking for Barry M Toffee Lipgloss for months and months, but, alas, it was always out of stock! So imagine my excitement seeing it on the shelves, just waiting to be snapped up. And oh my goodness, I want to eat it, it smells so good!

And.. thank you to the lovely Boots, who gave me their legendary £5 off No.7 voucher, with which I bought this gorgeous eyeshadow in Wheat Sheath, a beautiful soft yellow, beige colour, which I think is perfect for a natural school look.

And now onto the bits and bobs from Lanzarote...

As a little gift to my lovely friends back at home, I brought 6 of these bracelets for just 5 euros in a little shop on the high street. Absolute bargain! Of course they were so cute, I just had to have one for myself, as they have such pretty charms!

There was a beautiful shop near the sea front which had an amazing selection of jewellery, and I managed to find this little beauty. I absolutely adore it, its kinda in keeping with an armour-ish quality, but also very dainty with delicate flowers, and another bargain for just 6 euros!

That's it for my hauls at the moment, but expect another very soon as I'm anticipating a massive blowout tomorrow!

Toodles my lovelies! :)
