Copycat

I walked past Emporio Armani whilst in London at the weekend and in the window (as seen below), there was a display of various women's outfits all based around a certain design. SPOTS. Now I know I sound stupid, but as I am not ever buying designer clothes, I did not realise how much high streets brands simply copy the ideas and looks from designers. I know, I know...people will be screaming whilst listening to this, but I stupidly thought that things would be different by for example having the high street brand made to bring out the similar collection a while behind, where as this display seemed fairly new. Obviously my opinion is fairly insignificant, but even if I did have the money to afford these designer clothes...If the same style jumper from a high street brand looked nice then why not just get that? :) Especially if you are capable of jazzing it up in your own special and unique way!!
Anyway take a look at the Topshop Jumper below
and tell me what you think!!

Things have continued to be a bit sucky this week obviously because of the break up situation. But I decided today, that I am not going to let myself be upset about this. Life moves on, and so can I! So any little motivational comments or quotes - ooo quotes especially would be great :)

Sunday Smiles

Today I went to London!
Yes thats right, I ventured out of the peaceful world that is Cambridge!!
I went with my mother and my grannie and had a lovely day out. :)
Exactly what I needed really after such a stressful week!
Although as you all may be expecting, this wasn't for retail therapy! :)
Instead it was for some inspiration for my art project,
so we went to some galleries.
After all this and a yummy lunch, we were walking around randomly and came across 'Christie's' auction house. I got more inspiration from the work being sold here then any of the galleries put together! I saw some gorgeous work by two artists called Ralph Rumney and Theodore Major!
Take a look if you are interested!

So onto todays purchases :)

What do you think?? These were not actually bought today, but instead yesterday at a jumble sale that my mother went to. She picked up these BEAUTS from Clarks for £1!! Now I'm not usually the type to wear workers fashion boots like these, but for one pound, I thought WHY NOT?? :)
Hopefully an outfit post with these in them will be shown soon.
So in the mean time, what do you think would go well with them??

I also went against my shopping ban and found Topshop :/
I bought the old style of the lace vest scallop body as shown on the website HERE. I got the inspiration for buying this from my Friend Holly, who decided to wear a nude bra underneath and although some people commented on her looking like she possibly had no nipples, I still admired her attempt! So I decided to try it too :) Hopefully a night out will need this soon!!

Then I went to the Oasis sale and got this cute top for £15...although may take it back because I'm not sure! Darkened the second picture so that you can see the detail of ruched lines down the front.

Also I know I have been a bit of a rubbish/selfish blogger recently, not really replying to comments or questions asked. But I promise, the support you all have given me has helped loads and I PROMISE I will be back on track as soon as possible :) Also Clashing Time Anti Bullying Blog WILL be brought back to life soon, I just very much need some case stories to show the world the pain and suffering that people get because of bullying!!

Caitlin's Shoot

So on tuesday, my friend Caitlin convinced me to model for her photography again. http://caitlinn-xo.blogspot.com/
As many of you may know, I have been moping around ha
So it was a shock that I felt up for it.
But i'm really glad about how they have turned out :)
Tell me what you think.
Also please do follow her. She is amazing and very keen to get into blogging!
Give your support! :)

Very.com

Obviously as many of you may know,
I am on a shopping ban of full price items.
So instead of buying, I am browsing to see what everyone thinks!
But on the cheap :) Tell me your opinions!!
These are from Very.com - look here to take a look at the top below.

Look here for this skirt.

Look here for the dress.

I am literally in love with this cute girl Eliza Doolittle and her lovely song - Skinny Genes. The quirky and sweet song make me smile as soon as it came on MTV whilst I had it on in the background. This song cheered me up loads and made me feel so much better :)

Also take a look at the ASOS giveaway on http://sittingprettyatmydesk.blogspot.com - if i was to win I would get this gorgeous ASOS Woven And Jersey Two In One Dress for £24. It comes in black too and its SO summery and gorgeous.

Better Days

So as I am feeling this way, I thought I would listen to a good old song that although fits with the emotions I'm feeling, it kinda cheers me up :)
“Relationships are like glass. Sometimes it’s better to leave them broken than try to hurt yourself putting it back together." — unknown
So today was pretty hard again, no surprise there.
I went out last night though and had a pretty good night!!
My best friend Sarah decided to take me out and cheer me up :)
I wore:
Next Lace Top
Sarah's Nude Body con Skirt (which i bought off her!!)
Primark black and nude heels
And of course a little black flower :)
I watched an amazing programme today called
'Jo Frost Extreme Parental Guidance'
She met a girl called Bronwyn...
"Jo also meets eleven-year-old Bronwyn: a girl who hates her appearance so much she is unable to lead a normal life. Bronwyn cries daily about the way she looks and compares herself harshly to celebrities in magazines. She now refuses to leave the house without spending two hours putting on makeup and mum Emma has no idea how to cope."
She wore a full face of makeup out the house everyday and finally was shown that just washing her face is the perfect way to look! I cant believe how insecure some teens are now a days! Times have changed so much since I was 11 and thats not even that long ago!! I really hope that one day in the future I will be able to help the confidence of many young girls go up :)

Vivienne Westwood Love

So is it just me or is anyone else absolutely IN LOVE with this Vivienne Westwood Yaya embossed leather bag - £525. Like most students, I would never have the funds for it but I would love love love to own one like this if I could. Obviously I love classic bags like black Chanel flap bags with a gold or silver strap, but this Westwood bag just screams uniqueness to me, however similar some features may be to Chanel. I love it!
Tell me what you think...

Also look out for the new shoot I will be doing on tuesday, hopefully be posted by thursday and also an outfit post soon :)

Ebay Love & Happiness

Firstly take a look at my friend Catilin's blog...http://caitlinn-xo.blogspot.com/
- at the moment she's just starting,
but she is the amazing photographer who
has done my shoots in the past!! :)

Here is a picture of my new EBAY buy...yes thats right, Topshop girl not so much anymore...I am in saving mode for University and summer holidays so trying to be as good as possible with spending! This GORGEOUS red Topshop second hand top was only £6 for the top and delivery and still in amazing condition. I wore it today with a simple pair of 'Baxter' Topshop jeans and a cream h&m cardigan. I would have LOVED to have shown you my happy spring/summer outfit but it suddenly began to rain terribly as I was cycling home and as soon as I got back, all my clothes had to be taken off and put on the radiator! I was absolutely soaked...bad times! But still LOVING Ebay at the moment!
I suppose in a way I am becoming better with money because I just had to pay out an arm and a leg for my lovely lovely boyfriend's 18th Birthday presents, but in my head, its completely worth it. Especially after the massive grin he had on his face after receiving the Lyle and Scott Navy jumper he knew he was getting from the website, then a second surprise one in black Marino wool both from the 'Club Vintage' section. His smile lit up the room and he looked like a proud little boy as we walked to the pub and he looked down at his new clothes and said to me ' Isn't it nice...ooo i love you' :) Awwww.

So anyway, my question to you today is...what is either the best present you feel you have given to a boyfriend or loved guy friend? Or what is the best present you have ever got from them??

Because sometimes I feel like the best present of all is him.
:)

Bargain Deals :)

So with my new scheme to try and wear everything already in my cupboard, I pulled out this LOVELY Topshop dress from last summer :) I bought it for £45 for a fancy dinner and my mates suggested I wore it yesterday and it turned out great!! :)

So after the hangover was gone, my mother and I went Charity bargain shopping and to one of my favourite art galleries called 'Kettles Yard' so here's my two new loves for a total of £6!!! £3 each :)

This bag is a darker brown colour then in the picture, and has a PERFECT amount of pockets inside it for all my belongings as seen above! I will be using it for college as I currently have lots of files and sheets to keep safe before stressful exam time.

My second item is a real leather purse for £3 in red. Neither of these items have brands but buying a real red leather purse for £3 was definitely a bargain when in a leather store afterwards, one very similar was £55!

Hope everyone has had a good day. Mine was relaxing then stressful and its ending with some New York Cheesecake :) Love to everyone.

Don't forge to join my (soon to be good) anti bullying blog on www.clashingtime-anti-bullying.blogspot.com <3

LCB Kaba Photography

My friend Shaun from http://lcbkaba.blogspot.com/
took some 'fashion photography' pictures last week for his college project.
I wore a simple white top, gold necklaces and my new black harem pants.
For hair accessories I wore either the black head piece
or the red vintage scarf from the vintage fair.
