My Discountcoder ASOS Competition Entry

The look I am going for here is dressy day wear.

'ASOS Pussybow Short Sleeve Blouse' £26.00
...tucked into (keeping the belt)...
'ASOS Tailored Belted Ponti Fit and Flare Skirt' £28.00

...styled with...
'ASOS Lace Over The knee & Sheer Tights' £10.00
...and also...
'ASOS Over The Knee Rib Socks' £4.00
(for added warmth and pushed down to just above shoes)

...finished off with...
'ASOS MARVEL Soft Suede Lace Up Flat Shoes'  £32.00
Total of £100

I think that the tights and blouse smarten up the
slouched socks and brogues look and the colourful
skirt adds personality and vibrance to  the outfit!

With discountcoder's 20% off promotional offer on all ASOS
brand Orders my total spend would be £80.
Simply type AS0S20 at the checkout.

If I had an extra £7 then I would use my spare £20 to buy the
'ASOS Fine Gauge Cape Style Cardigan' for £27
which I think adds the perfect end to this look.
I love the shape of this cardigan and I think that it would
add to the slouched look for the outfit but also help
to create a stylish wintery feel.

I hope that you like my entry to the Discountcoder competition to enable me to win £100...please comment below with your opinions on the outfit and what you like or would change!
I love to hear your opinions!

Makeup Editoral Look ♥

I am always amazed at lovely bloggers on here and on YouTube who can create astonishing makeup looks, and am jealous of their amazing editorial work they create from just a few basic products and a 'blank canvas' - face.

So, as an aspiring makeup artist/beauty journalist myself, I decided to try out a bit of 'face art', inspired by youtubers such as CosmeticsCharlotte72 and MakeupByRisa...

I used ELF Cream Eyeliner in Black, Barry M Dazzledust in Mushroom (used wet) and Benefit Lust Duster in Moon Doggie (also used wet) to create this look :)

By no means is this anywhere near as good as anything the amazing artists on YouTube and blogger can create, however I am actually quite pleased with the result, for me a makeup artistry newbie :)

I based this pattern/look on flowers and fireworks night, and played around until I came up with something decent.

Upon showing my family my makeup, I was subjected to a lot of dropped jaws and 'What have you done?!'s before they eventually gathered I was trying out a whole new look.

I'm hoping the reactions from my lovely followers will be a little less shocked, but all the same what do you think? Honest opinions please :)

Lucky me, this week I was asked by the lovely Jodie from Jodieecharlotte to feature on her blog, whooo whooo!

If your interested, check out the post here ♥

She is so sweet and does THE best makeup tips, check Jodie outtt! :)

Have a good weekend chicas! :)

LUSH!

Finally!
Finally!
Finally!

Finally, I have a Lush haul for you, my lovelies!

On a recent trip into town, me and my friend decided to venture into my much lusted after shop, Lush!

Some of you may know that recently I have become obsessed with checking out all of the Lush products and finding the perfect purchase for my very first Lush order. However, actually shopping in store is a lot different to lusting after products online, as everything smells so amazing!

One of the products that I thought it was a dead cert that I'd be picking up was the much raved about Snow Fairy Shower Gel, however after going and having a good sniff, I just could not summon up any enthusiasm for which was, in my opinion, an overly sweet and overrated scent, which was just not for me.

So, after the Snow Fairy disappointment, I was eager to look for other gorgeous smelling, soapy, bubbly balls of goodness. I have to add that the girls who helped me in Lush were absolutely lovely, and so sweet in helping a 'Lush Virgin' like me! I was so pleased to be treated in such a nice way in my first ever visit and they just made me want to go back to Lush over and over again!

So now what did I actually buy in Lush?

The Comforter Bubble Bar
This smells A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!
The fragrant scent of this fills up my room and leaves my draws smelling good enough to eat.
Although I'm not really a bath sort of person I couldn't resist this, and upon using it last Sunday I was over the moon at the gorgeous smelling, bubbly pink bath it created!

 Cinders Bath Ballistic
I thought that this bath bomb would be perfect for use on fireworks night, with its smokey, cinnamon fragrance. I did in fact use it on Bonfire Night, and I loved watching the little surprises in this, however, I just can't get used to baths without bubbles, it just doesn't seem right to me!

Lip Dip
Nom Nom NOM NOM!!
This sherbet, cranberry and lemon flavour lip scrub tastes divine.
I know, I know, lip scrubs are not for eating, but I make an exception for this! Its also pretty good at being a real lip scrub, however for me the main feature of this is the taste, yum yummm!

♥ ♥ ♥

After my Total Lush Virgin post about the Lush products that I really wanted to try, in which I featured Lush Fresh Farmacy, the lovely Sabre Rose offered to send me her piece of unused Fresh Farmacy, what a sweetie :)

Fresh Farmacy
This pretty pink slab claims to be the perfect cleanser for helping get rid of spots. I've only been using it a week, so I cannot comment on its spot healing properties, however I can say it smells lovely!

Porridge Soap
The lovely girl also sent me a piece of this soap which has little porridge oats in it which exfoliates your skin, leaving you feeling soft and smooth.

This was the first of, hopefully, many more future Lush hauls!

Please excuse my stupid, non-focusing camera!

Has anyone got any recommendations for more Lush products to try? :)

Fashion Train's Interview of Clashing Time

Missguided Shoe Review

Missguided.com Boots in all their beauty:
'Saph Peep Toe Wedges In Black' - Reduced to £16.99
This picture is from after I had worn them so excuse the slight dirt!

In short, these are the most comfortable heels I have ever worn! I didn't really like them when they first came out, I thought they were too much of a statement item from the past. I mean they aren't that far off from the boots that my mum AND DAD wore in the 60's! But that platform style was 'in' back then! I saw the shoes everywhere, in all sizes, heights and colours and thought that they would be one of those trends that came and went very quickly. But then I realised after seeing them on missguided.com that they may in fact be useful to me! As silly as it sounds, when I go out I am very clumsy! These shoes are a lifesaver! I feel comfort whilst walking and also if I do fall over (admittedly happens often) then my feet are protected - plus less chance of a twisted ankle that you get with other strappy heels because of the support around that area! Obviously I shouldn't love a pair of shoes like these simply because of the practicality of them whilst intoxicated, but of course there are other reasons! Quite a few of my outfits are pretty girly with frills, pale colours or little elements of glitz and I always felt as if I was looking a tad under 18 which of course is not what I want. Whilst wearing these shoes with the same outfits I was wearing before made me feel as if I was making myself look more bold or 'rough around the edges' (in a good way!!) - a little bit more rock chick rather than the simple blonde haired short girl :) My Example....to the right :) For all of you shoe lovers out there that are interested in buying a pair of these - they are STILL available in the sale!! Make sure you take a look!!! What do you think?? :)

Next on the Missguided.com list are these stunners....
'AUTUMN LACE UP WEDGES'
Reduced to £19.99

Shops Are Dangerous...

...for my bank balance.

This Saturday I popped into town for a day out with an old friend for a quick skip around the shops, which of course turned into a rather long day out...

As aways, I spent way too much, buy hey, its nearly Christmas, so time to start treating myself! ;)

Pull & Bear
£7.99
I adore this baggy t-shirt as it reminds me of Christmas and is perfect for wearing over leggings.

Topshop
£7.99
A complete bargain find in the sale (woo whoo!), I adore this khaki green top!

Primark
£4.00
A stretchy purple skirt. Perfect for winter? ...Umm, I think not, but hey, who doesn't need a new skirt! ;)

Primark
£11
Thought it was time to add at least add one wintry piece to my wardrobe, and I think  this gorgeous heart cut out cardie does the trick!

Superdrug
Tresemme Salon Finish Hairspray
£3.89
I decided it was time to get my own Tresemme hairspray, rather than nicking my poor mummies every time I need some hold. I love this one, so easy to use and holds perfectly, with no crunchy-ness.

Pound Shop
Rimmel Eyeshadows in Bronzed and Glam Rock and Revlon Eyeshadow in Charcoal
£1
I will never stop being amazed at the bargainous makeup you can find in the Pound Shop. These are beautiful colours and extremely pigmented, and for just 99 pennies each I think I can afford as many as I want :)

Superdrug
Simple Rich Moisturisor
£3.29
Now the winter coldness is drawing in, I'm in serious need of replenishing the decreasing levels of moisture in my skin, and I'm hoping this is the answer to my problems!

Boots
Cocoa Butter Vaseline
£1.49
Eeekk, I'm so happy to have picked this gorgeous smelling tin of goodness up! Perfect chocolaty smell to slather all over my parched lips!

Boots
Natural Collection Lipgloss in Fondant and Lipstick in Lotus
£1.99 each
For just 2 quid, I always find the Natural Collection range to be surprisingly good and I wasn't disappointed with these two, the lipgloss is such a beautiful colour and no stickiness in sight (or feel?)

No 7 Eyeshadow in Truffle
£7.50
With my £5 off voucher, this little beauty was just £2.50, oh thank you Mr Boots who created these amazing vouchers!! :)

Revlon Grow Luscious Mascara
£7.99
I admit, I'm becoming a bit of a mascara fiend. I did not need this, but I had the strongest pull to buy either this or L'oreal voluminous. I really wish I had a time machine and could go back to get the latter. This mascaras just a bit... blah. Nothing special. Damn you stupid advertising campaigns telling me that this will make my lashes grow and enticing me to buy! :|

Superdrug
Sleek Bad Girl Palette
£5.99
As a huge Sleek palette fan, I was over the moon when I heard they had come out with two brand spanking new palettes. Not particularly keen on the pink shades of the Good Girl palette, I went for the smokier, sexier Bad Girl palette... not because I'm a bad girl or anything ;) Of course, like all of their palettes these eyeshadows are exceptional for their price and with beautiful pigmentation these little beauties can create a whole number of looks, and all just for £5.99!

Coming up in the next post...
My Very First Lush Haul!!
FINALLY!!
